About this tournament
2 rounds of play
This is the 4th event of the 2026 British Columbia Women's Series!
The British Columbia Women's Series is a series of 6 events held throughout British Columbia from April to September. We are a series run by women, for women. The BCWS is a trophy only series of inclusive events to support, mentor, encourage and grow women and junior girl's participation in disc golf; a place where women and girls can feel safe and empowered. All skill levels are welcome, whether you are a new player or a competitive player. Women's Series points will be awarded for this event.
REGISTRATION PASS-THROUGH FEES
Your registration fee includes the following pass-through fees:
• PDGA Player Fee: $3
• BC Women’s Series Fee: $5 (to series payouts)
• Park Fee: $2 (used for event sanctioning and insurance)
CHOOSING YOUR DIVISION
The BCWS operates as a point series: each registrant contributes a series fee, which is later allocated as prize payouts to top competitors in each division upon completion of the series. If you are a PRO or Amateur looking to compete for Series Points and Finale Cash Prizes, it is advisable to choose your division wisely. To qualify for series payouts, players must take part in at least three BCWS events and must compete in the same division across all six series events to earn points.
If you plan to play numerous PDGA-sanctioned events this season, it is likely your player ratings will fluctuate based on performance and participation. For example, if you register in FA3 with a current rating of 770 but subsequently reach 775, you would no longer be eligible for FA3. Consider that increased activity may lead to upward changes in your rating, so select your division carefully, as podium points are not transferable between divisions—only participation points can transfer.
For those not focused on cash prizes and simply wishing to participate, you may enroll in any division best suited to your preferences. If you are a 52-year-old amateur seeking age-appropriate competition, register in FA50. Generally, PRO divisions are highly competitive, FA1 is competitive, FA2 is intermediate, FA3 is recreational, FA4 is novice, and age-protected divisions cater specifically to age groups. Players cannot be rated out of age-protected divisions. PDGA age eligibility is determined by the year of birth; players qualify for age-based divisions if they will reach the qualifying age during the calendar year. The FJ divisions are reserved for junior girls.
ABOUT THE COURSE
The Travelling Farmer's Wife is travelling to Summerland this year! We will be playing at the new Summerland Kinsmen Disc Golf Course. This course is still being installed but the red tee pads will be completed along with signage for this tournament. The throwing distance is longer than 3 Blind Mice but the elevation gain is much less. The front 9 has shorter more shot shaped holes with trees while the back is more open with longer distances. blue and red layouts are now visible on UDisc. There is ample parking at this site and an area to warm up. We do share the park with dirt bike riders, mountain bikers, and hikers so please be aware and give right of way when throwing over dirt roads.
I'm working on getting some sort of lunch up to the course so stay tuned for that.
I'm also working on getting an after party/social organized in Summerland as well.
This will be the first sanctioned tournament held on the course so let's make some history!
LAYOUTS
FPO, FP40, and FA1 plays 1st round blue, 2nd round red.
FP50, FA2, FA40, FA50, FA3 plays both rounds from red tees.
FA60, FA4 and juniors plays both rounds red with alternate pars.
Hole 8 is the only hole that blue and red have the same pad.
